Yesterday, we read our students a great book titled Don’t feed the ANTs by Erin Bernardi. This book taught an awesome lesson about Mindfulness. Bernardi coined the acronym ANTs, which stands for Automatic Negative Thoughts. The book explored various ways that negative thoughts play a role in our daily lives.

Have you ever been handed a test, and immediately thought that you were going to fail? Or have you ever finally mustered up enough courage to pursue your dream, and suddenly thought it was too difficult? Every day we all have ANTs, whether they be thoughts of fear, sadness, or frustration. Today, I challenge you to find a technique that helps you, when conflicted with ANTs. Feel free to share some techniques that you may already use.
